But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Words that could change this world if we let them penetrate deep within us and bring about transformation. But sometimes the world seems so big and daunting and we don’t do anything at all. Yet we can make a difference in the world by living by the Spirit and bearing the Spirit’s fruit in the family, church, community that God has placed us. Let us ask for humility to live boldy by the Spirit in the places with the people God has called us to. And then one day we may get to look back and see how far the ripples of the Spirit went out from the fruit we bore in His name and we get a surprise.
