Rom 6:8-14, died with Christ, living with Christ
As we approach Easter it is easy to stop with Good Friday and the cross and forget the celebration of the cross. Yes Good Friday is somber, it is painful and sad. Christ’s death for us is dark, our sin weighs on us. The cost and implication of it leading to Christ’s death troubles us. But He did not stay dead. Death did not have the final say either for Him or for us. In His resurrection we too have life. Let us not just celebrate that with a chocolate egg on Easter Sunday but let us live that life today. Yes we are still walking through Lent and it is good to jounrey through Lent but we do live with the knowledge of Easter Sunday so even in our Lenten journeys let us journey with ressurection hope and joy.
