Isaiah 62
Yesterday’s passage encouraged us to trust that the best was still to come, that there is more to come. And stepping back to Isaiah this morning we get a glimpse of that best yet to come.
God is not going to sleep on the job, He is not going to remain quiet. We can have confidence even in the seeming fog and silence from God that He is at work in us and for His purpose of redeeming us His people. Our salvation will be like a blazing torch, our vindication will be visible for all to see. We will be given a new name by God Himself. We will be a crown of splendour, a royal diadem. God will delight and rejoice over us. We will not be forgotten or abandoned. Let us put our faith in God who alone can do this for us and as His word says He will let us trust Him for His word does not go forth from Him and return empty.
